Orange E200 error

My first post here :lol:

Since this morning I've been getting the following appearing every 20 mins or so:

Error

Unable to connect. Verify your Dial-up or proxy settings are correct, and try again.

Is this a system orange problem or something else? I've tried resetting to factor defaults and it didnt help.

YES YES ME!!!!

Driving me nuts. Called Orange and reported it 4 days ago - still no answer from them or a call back - surprise surprise! Thought it was linked to GPRS not working - as it didn't for the first week - but now it is and I still get the error - cannot pick the pattern of when it appears.

Hey at least its not just me going nuts.

Everything on the phone works fine - just keep getting this damn annoying message popping up and beeping at me :lol:

Anyone any clues?

I'm getting the exact same problem. Orange cannot figure it out either. They have passed it on the technical support to give me a call back.

It does not seem to be a common problem as Orange do not have the error message in their lists of common errors.

Hopefully they will get back to me in 48 hours with a solution which I will post here. If anybody has any Idea's their thoughts would be appreciated.

Have you set your e-mail to be checked every 20 mins or something?

If not I have no idea :?

Yeh, sounds like you have set your email to be checked automatically every 20 minutes, and the server is down...are you all using the same mail servers?

And also try setting the auto check for email off, then the problem should go away (if the problem is the email servers)
