is it just me or is the exact same thing happening with the E200 as did with the original SPV on this forum. I remember way back when that phone lauched it was tough weeding through all the posts about how many glitches and bugs and problems it had just to find some information. All those posts almost steered be away from getting the SPV, but i did, and I cant be more happy that I did. So now as all these posts are slowly steering me away from the E200, I have to ask myself if its not just a little bit of history repeating?

yes it would seem that history IS repeating itself.. the e200 seems to still have some of the bugs that the original spv had

T9 not remembering words (have to say this has NEVER happened to me)

poor battery life (motorolla got it right with the mpx-200 so why cant HTC?? on there third attempt at a phone they should have at least fixed this)

heard alot of people moan about the call quality?? my spv was ok and my e100 is excellent so what went wrong with the e200? seem to be going backwards here?

4 way joypad (hardware/software???) does anybody actually know yet?

as i said motorolla got it spot on with there first ever smartphone,,,maybe they learned from the mistakes that htc have made??

and all you e200 lovers out there that are probably going to curse me and call me all the foul names under the sun ,,you can NOT deny this..

the e200 should NOT have the problems that it has got,,,especially poor call quality and the T9 should most definately have been fixed as should the battery life,,but hey if people keep handing over there hard earned cash for sub standard phones that dont work as they should then what the hell do htc/orange care??

guys, just out of curiosity: is there any phone with serious software which hasn't got any glitches? Let's be real about one thing: such a phone would take years to develop, and we don't even give them time to develop a regular ROM update...

Does anyone around here really knows what he wants? We ask a tremendous speed of developing, but at the same time, we want everything to be perfect. Almost sounds American...

No, just seriously: do you really think they have loads of technicians and developers doing 24/7 shifts just to keep us happy? Then ask yourselfs this question: Considering the cost for those technicians, and the money you really gain on the phones, would you do more just to "keep the client happy"? I think they are already pulling out a teriffic job. Anyone who doesn't agree with that, just buy an other phone (one which can only make calls or so)

roke.. i agree completely with you but my point is that on there :!: third :!: attempt at a phone it should NOT have the problems that the :!: first :!: phone had ... the call quality should NOT be worse the T9 should work and the Battery should last more than 24 hours... the mpx-200 sucks just as much power as the spv yet manages a standby of several days...yet htc just keep sticking the same old 1000ma battery on everyphone released

:!: i love my e100 and would not change it for anything thats currently avialable.. as i dont like flip phones (especially when they look like a toilet seat) and the few problems that my e100 has dont bother me all that much but they shouldnt be there all the same

I'm speechless!

We are on Version 3, why should it be bug ridden?

How much time shall we give them to fix it - another year?

I'd be shocked if Orange didnt take all our points into question and released a buggy 2004 version. I dont know why, but I think I'd actually put up with it. Im a bloody sucker for toys, even if they do have their SLIGHT faults
