battery life montoring tool : updated : version 1.0

Here is a little app i knocked together to monitor the life of the battery in my spv, i was getting very poor battery life and needed some proof that it wasn't going down too quickly.

what it does is check the power status every 60 seconds and if there is a change it displays it on the screen

it might be usefull to test how the batterys last in all the new phones

any problems let me know

EDIT: its not like will's from ages ago, this one runs on your phone

EDIT2: its works very well, i have ran it all day today and i had 19 hours use by 50%, which is 100% better than friday o/ =D>

it shouldn't run the battery down that much

it works on a WM_TIMER event every 30 seconds, when its not checking the battery (which it does in < .5 second) its sleeping

im currently using 1% of power every 15 mins

It should do. i havn't a e200 to test it with, but please give it a try

i left mine over night running this and my phone had droped 25% in 603 mins. which is better than its been doing in the past week :lol:

Im not sure if its just my phone but im getting better battery life today with my rubbish program :lol:

last week it was using 10% an hour but with my program running its lasting all day

i charged my phone to 100% at lunchtime today, and 481 minuites ( 8 hours) later its at 76%

thats with a few calls and stuff so im happy that its not affecting the battery that much.

if your battery life is on the poor side, please try the program, at least you will know how bad it is

Question : Do you use GetSystemPowerStatusEx2 ? and how do you get "time left" ?

The "BatteryLifeTime" in GetSystemPowerStatusEx2 doesn't work for me !

i get the time left by working out how quickly the phone has got to its current level (and if the program didn't start at 100% we gess at 1% every 30 mins) then its a simple sum of a

1 percent in x minuites x percent left = time remaining.

does any one else have better standby time with its or is it just me ?
