live radio on the smartphones with windows media support

This is still beta testing, but would love some feedback..

Take your browser in your smartphone to this page

www.codes.dk

and click the link for the stream, it runs on 2k/sec which is 120kb a minute on gprs.

Would appreciate some feedback thanks

Tried it over GPRS in the US and got to the link, clicked on it, it opened WMP, said connecting for about a min, then displayed the following error:

The file cannot be found. You may not be connected to the network, the file may have moved, or you may have entered an incorrect file name or path.

Cool, it worked for me. Are you streaming this yourself?

I have a stream site that simply reformats di.fm's streams but i can create my own streams and even rebroadcast local stations over the net. Not sure if that legal or not

hi guys, i run a 24hour dance radio station, www.paradoxuk.net

looking to add smartphone support, finding WM encoder a bit dodgy to use, keeps falling over after a few hours.

Might try and set up a descent server for it.

Whats the best bit rate/quality you guys are getting out of gprs without serious re-buffering?

I get buffering on my spv. I'll test again after the 1.6 build is released.

cosmodk, works fine and sounds cool with UK 1.61 update

Added to my favourites now, easier to navigate than di.fm on the phone :D

Nice one :)/
