Guest anselm Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Just notice this is available for free now  Does anyone know if this app only reads from root directories? I pointed it at my smartcard - where most of my jpg's are at in My Docs/pics - and it doesn't show anything. :?
Guest peekie Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 if you look on msmobiles site they say its free even when you get to handango it says freeware its only when you download it you find its 30 days and 19 dollars + tax
Guest awesterink Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Yup, noticed the same thing. Some kinda free that is. Low ball marketing ploy to get you wanting to keep the app.
Guest kjk Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 THIS IS NOT FREE  and pictures have to be stored in splashphoto folder to be shown in spleshphoto i don't like that not good pictures viewer IA is best and you can place your pictures where you want
Guest peekie Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 one other thing if you have xbar installed you have so many problems trying to get the app to work , maybe soon its free but the price ect it is not worth it as with kjk i think the ia prog is far better and best of all free
Guest anselm Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Nuts! I can't believe I fell for the "free software" scam - feel like such an idiot  Hate software that doesn't allow you to keep your files where you want to any way  thanks for the heads up guys - its coming straight off my SPV.
Guest anselm Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 er... btw, where does it actually say that it is a 30 day trial? I've checked the "about" menu option and it just says it is a Handango promo. If it is time limited then they ought to make it obvious.
Guest peekie Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 where did you get that file from ?? as ive tryed various downloads and installs and it says 30 days trial on all of them still prefer the ia album though
Guest kiddybaggie Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 No 30-day trial limit on mine either? Read somewhere that an error was made and the full version was put up for free, hang on it might have been the main page of this site.
Guest peekie Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 there is alot going on on whos fault it is that some people got the prog for free while others dont check under the public newsgroups microsoft.public.smartphone for more on this subject , maybe the app was going to become free in the future maybe now its not . there are some products where you buy one and get another free and you get the link for that from the supplier in an email msmobiles i think got the email and gave everyone the freebee,  or not a freebee as it is now
Guest anselm Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Can you still buy IA Album now? I can't seem to find it and the IA site doesn't even seem to actually sell it now. I gather they have been bought up, perhaps we will see all of IA's stuff reappear under a different name before long :?:
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Resco Picture Viewer is a nice app.
Guest kjk Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Resco Picture Viewer is a nice app. yes but i think IA is better
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 maybe....especially if you have a camera phone.
Guest kjk Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 inn IA you can view moving image but not in resco
Guest peekie Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 i do like some features of the prog the only thing i think it really misses is a camera option as the built in ia has but on the whole i do like it,maybe a camera function might come ??? as the old ia album is far better than what you get on the E200
Guest anselm Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 Resco Picture Viewer does look good but where can I buy a copy of IA? still can't find anyone selling it
Guest JeremyEynon Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Second that. I really want to buy IA but they're not selling it anymore!
