Guest lister7474 Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Does anyone know how to output the sound from an SPV? I know someone has said you can use a Nokia headset, but is there some type of adaptor to output it to RCA or 2.5mm Jack??
Guest Rob.P Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm convertor plug from Maplins for about 75p and then all you need is a your single jack to stereo left/right lead and your away. V.handy if you go on holiday, all you need to pack are your little speakers and your plug and you have a little stereo, great for taking on the beach, just watch where the sand goes
Guest scottt Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Yes it works ok I put mp3's onto me phone and then using said jack and a tape to play personal cd players in the car (£10 maplin) use it in the car
Guest glynton Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Not so long ago i started looking around the market for a BT dongle of some kind that i could fit to the Audio inputs of my stereo and have wireless audio fed over the air from my laptop and/or future phone, but could not find anything. I did discover that there are some companies developing the idea. Apparently the BT profile doesn't exist yet
Guest Rob.P Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 glynton, let us know if you see any further developments in that area, that's exactly the sort of setup I would like, although I think my missus is gonna get a bit worried soon that I'm frying her brain with all this wireless stuff  beats cables though
Guest glynton Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Wires fry your brain anyway.. what with the mess they cause... so annoying for brain! Give me a headache!
Guest techsupp1001 Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Using the modified Nokia 6510 headset, I was able to create an adopter for the smartphone headset. I could use any type of earphone and plug it to the adopter directly and use it as my headset, the microphone feature does not work though - I'm only interested with the cool stereo sound of the phone. It also works on my PC speaker which gives me a good powerful quality sound. I'm using the phone as an mp3 player. and yes it is annoying when you are listening to your mp3 and somebody calls up or you receive an SMS, the music will stop of course and play your ringtones. good thing you could turn off the radio function  .
