Headset Profile, can't switch 'system sounds' off?

Hi,

While using the headphones this morning, I tried to stop all the keypad sounds by editing the profile. So I set the System Sound Volume to 'Off', pressed 'Done' a couple of times....but no change :!: Anyone else try this and see if you get the same thing??

I had a similar issue to this, try turning system sounds off in the Headset profile, then change back to the normal profile, and then change back to the Headset profile.

It would appear that basically you have to re-load the profile for the change to be made effective.

May not work but did for me.

My problem is that my phone is permanently stuck on the headset profile.

I can edit all of the profiles but cant select a new one.

This means that the darn thing doesnt ring now and i constantly have to walk around with the stupid thing in my ear!!

i tried battery removal, sim card removal, I dont want to have to hard reset again, unless its a last resort.

Does anyone know of a solution to this?? other than a hard reset?

handy for ignoring the alarm in the morning though!! cos u cant hear it!!

Thanks for that...A good clear of the lungs into the hole did the trick.

i knew dust would get in once the wee tab broke off.

Big problem, simple solution!
