SIM unlock SPV with bootlader V1.00?? Is this possible?

HI all,

I want to SIM unlock my SPV but this one has bootlader V1.00.

Is there a way to unlock this? I know that there is a tool for unlocking but this will only work if your bootlader is < V0.98.

Can somebody please help me?

The only way is to downgrade the bootloader.

How can i downgrade the bootloader.

Please tell me where i can find a bootloader as a download,

And the exact steps i have to follow to install the new bootloader and unlock my phone.

I have a SPV Rom verson 1.5.0.27.

I cannot recomend a site to download the bootloadeer from as I only use my own.

As for installing it you either need a copy on storage card to transfer over to the phone or a copy of bootloader on Winhex. I would only advise using Winhex

if you are familier with it as it's easy to screw your phone up using it.

:? No as you have already stated the SIM Unlock program will not run with your ROM version. As awarner has already stated you have to downgrade your bootloader - or if you are on Orange you can pay them £20 to provide you with the code i believe

I have no idea.

So it start with downloading a bootloader where. And then how do i instaal the bootloader?

Just called ORange Netherlands... This will cost me € 160!!!!! :evil:

Easiest way is to find someone with a copy of the bootloader you need once you have this on a storage card then follow the instructions below.

1, Power off the phone,

2, Place card in phone and press and hold the record button while

pressing the power button (same as you would for a Hard Reset).

3, The phone will display Press any key to download

4, Press the action button.

5, The download will start then when the phone displays

download pboot success

Press any key then repeat step 2 only (this is to show you the new bootloader version)

6, Congratulations you now have a downgraded bootloader and can SIM

unlock the phone when ever you feel like it.

when the 1.6 update is available, is it still possible to upgrade from 1.5 rom to 1.6 ROM with a downgraded bootlader???

Yes it is possible but once you have upgraded you will have the latest

bootloader again and this can not be downgraded.

I have version 1.00 and would like to downgrade it to a stabile bootloader with the functionallity to sim-unlock your phone.
