Activesync / network connection confliction problem

Just got an E200 and been having a few problems.

I've had an SPV for a year and not had ant problems but now I am with the E200. First of all (and these may well be linked), I had trouble installing the USB driver and then ActiveSync 3.7.1 (tried both from the CD and d/l copies multiple times) until I finally ended up deleted all instances on my system of the problem file after getting the message:

"Setup could not copy the file ‘G:MSACTSYNCMAINcoreinfWCEUSBSH.CAT’ (copy error –1). Restart your desktop computer and run Setup again."

I then also deleted the file: "C:windowsinfoem4.inf" which appeared when I had searched for WCEUSBSH.CAT and that let me install ActiveSync and get everything running. However, for some reason i can't connect to the net when I have the cradle connected which must be due to a conflict with the network card. Bizarrely though both work together sometimes but not others. :?

Any ideas.
