Guest FrankyG Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 FYI; The cable that comes with the Mustek GSmart 2 camera works with the Mpx200, I've got mine syncing and charging right now. The System properties reports that the power required is 100mA, which is the same as when using the Official Motorola cable. I have no idea if there is a backup battery on the phone as indicated, anyone :?:charging.gif
Guest Emad Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 It's for ensuring your data doesn't die horribly when teh main battery is out. Any mini-usb cable would charge the phone I imagine?
Guest ajauch Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Yep. It's a completely standard USB Mini connector. I've got one of those Zip cables for my travel bag, works great. This is probably one of the coolest features of the phone. Moto really got that one right!!! Alex
Guest cortez Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 i've read on one of the MPx forums (still looking for link) that there is no backup battery. motorola forgot to remove the software that monitored the status of the "phantom" backup battery. can anyone in Europe confirm this?
Guest alphaflux Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I'd never really considered that it doesn't have a backup batter, but that would make sense. It goes a long way to explain why every MPx200 reports that backup battery to be at 90% and this never seems to change.
