Guest verbetex Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Hey guys I'm getting my MPX200 delivered tomorrow if all things goto plan! Are there any must have programs/games that I should get for it? I'm upgrading from a Nokia 3330 so I'm guessing whatever happens I'll be well happy with the new phone! Cheers
Guest Sp3ctre Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 When did you order it?... We've all been quoted 7-10 working days
Guest verbetex Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Phoned up Orange last night and they said it'll prob come on thurs. Hope i've not made a mistake and he meant next thurs :?
Guest Sp3ctre Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 sorry mate.... if i'd not ordered mine you'd all be getting them next day... problem is I jinx things like this... so far this month: ordered networking kit - not in stock yet ordered printer - again, not in stock... don't know when ordered MPx200 - 7 to 10 days
Guest Charlie Mouse Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I ordered one last night as an upgrade from my SPV and was told it should be with me between 9 and 5 tomorrow
Guest verbetex Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Cool, thought that was what they said. I'm not that crazy after all!!.....Maybe?
Guest nCoder Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Same here, I have just upgraded one of my SPV's this afternoon and was told CityLink would be delivering it between 9 and 5 tomorrow.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 as for must have apps, first of all decert the phone then install Smart Explorer and Task Manager
Guest goose Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Just so you know... the MPx200 already has Task Manager on it so no need to install a different version as far as I know
Guest Shuflie Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 The task manager built into the MPx200 is nowhere near as useful as SP Taskmanager, it doesn't even let you kill itself so if you are really trying to free up resources it is still going to be hanging around in the background. You can't format an SD card with it either although for some people this might be a good thing. The main thing though is file size IA taskmanager folder size 128K SP Taskmanager folder size 40K i.e. less than a third the size of the built in taskmanager, which is important if you are trying to save space on your phone (Two essential programs to store on the phone are a taskmanager and a file explorer, you can just about live with everything else on the SD card in my opinion.)
Guest Bonzo Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Got to agree with Shuflie... Third party task managers are by far the better software... Binarys Task Manager is probably thr best and in addition it also has a basic memory/space checker in it too so if U want U can ditch not one but two of the included programs, as indeed I have
Guest Sp3ctre Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Same here, I have just upgraded one of my SPV's this afternoon and was told CityLink would be delivering it between 9 and 5 tomorrow. Did you get ure phone when you expected?... I was told between 9-5 today, call my synical but I never believe em!
Guest nCoder Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Nope, it didn't arrive until the Saturday morning. I wasn't too happy because I had promised my old phone to someone else on the Friday, so I was without a phone for the whole of Friday. Oh well.
Guest Sp3ctre Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 mine was promised for today between 9 - 5.... guess what... no phone!
