Guest ultimasnake Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I am really in need of a program that can get the current time from the internet on my smarthpone , it doesnt seem to remember the date when shut down.. would be nice if it is auto run at startup and then just quits.. i didnt start trying to program apps on my spv e200 but if i know how i might try to make it myself.... :S
Guest stevewright Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 It will get the time from your PC when you sync it if that's any help... XP uses time.windows.com to update' its time, so it should be accurate.
Guest ultimasnake Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 i know.. but i turn my phone off at night .. and i am not always at a place where i can sync my phone..... i just installed the Sdk .. if i make something nice i will post it as freeware here
Guest ka_boum Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 By the way, on my old Panasonic phone there was a feature wich allowed you to tell the phone to shutdown at a certain time, and to turn itself on again in the morning. It was a simple way of saving battery life. So that the phone would reply in the morning I hade to disable the pin lock (the phone would not answer untill if it had been introduced). I activated for security reasons the phone's own locking code system which even untill introduced allowed me to receive calls. Every morning the phone would turn on when specified, stay locked untill the phone security code had been introduced, but ring if called. Note : if the phone had been stollen, the thief could have removed the sim card and used it to phone on other phones for free, because some phones would not ask for the pin code Could't anybody rite a similar program for the e200 ?
