How to apply a uk upgrade to a Danish upgraded SPV?

Long long time ago I upgraded my uk SPV to the danish rom, version 1.3.3.22

Now that may have been a bad idea, but it helped my battery and speed a bit ... but now i want to upgrade to the newer UK builds

How do i do it? The installer complains that my phone is a Danish phone and won't do it ...

I have no clue how to unlock the phone, any tips would be brilliant. I only have the usb cradle and the phone, and active sync, nowt else, so I can't use anything too esoteric, unless it's a free download

Please somebody help!!!

Also, is there a URL to download the latest builds? I can only find UK version 1.36 on Orange's website, but I believe version 1.6.1 is due to come out soon? Today even?

The UK update should hopefully be available on the 10th Dec and as for

upgrading just run it from the Canary screen and you should be ok.

I've tried to run the 1.36 upgrade which i downloaded from orange's uk site, and it says my phone has a Danish ROM and won't update it - will that not happen on the latest update when it comes out?

Where would i get other updates to try in the meantime, later than 1.36?

Also, sorry to bundle all this together, but how do you delete sent text messages? I've got over 700 of them in my sent items, and there's no "Empty folder" choice in the menu.

Am i being thick?

As awarner has already said, run the update on the phone when its in its 3 Colour Canary screen not while the phone is booted up fully :D

There are no other Orange UK updates available atm.

By default there is no way of deleting all the messages at once, but there is a program called SMS Tools that will do it for you (available Free to Modaco Plus members) :lol:

Sorry, i might be being thick, but how do i get it to the tri-colour Canary screen? What do i do to get it there?

Turn the phone off. Press and hold the record button and press power button, once screen changes let go and after a while, voila 3 Colour Canary Screen :D

FYI the new Orange ROM was released yesterday, see the News section :lol:
