Guest Fooshnicken Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 I recently got hold of an MPx200 for myself, and after unlocking the phone, the Media Player doesn't work anymore. When I try to run it, the Title bar briefly displays 'Windows Media' and then returns you to the menu screen. Does anyone know how I solve this problem as I really want to use the Media Player to listen to mp3's Ash
Guest davy Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Haven't tried this on an MPx 200 but it works with the SPV. Reset cab available from this link http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...t=wmp+reset+cab davy.

Guest Fooshnicken Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Thanks for the link, I'll save this for next time ;-) In the end I managed to sort it out by doing a hard reset, a bit excessive I know, but it worked.
Guest SirGaz Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I had this happen to me and the only thing I could think of was the fact that I had installed a skin (Smartphone XP - very nice) and uninstalled it some time later. The reason I think it was down to this is that last week I installed Longhorn M5 skin  and media player is back working again.
Guest NederSoren Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 yea'.. the problem is skins.. Some "Big" skins are also skinning the media player, and if you fail to uninstall the skin like you're spose to, the player wont launch, the 'reset cab' should solve it quickly though.. /Neder
Guest Fooshnicken Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I think you're right about the skins, I remember now that I had this problem after installing and uninstalling a skin on the phone.
Guest scottt Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I also had this problem I just installed a new media player skin and hey presto it worked again p.s was s.p.v
