Guest paddy_mcnulty Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Just thought I'd let people know in another post in case they haven't seen the one in the original topic. Sorry, If I'm repeating myself to anyone. I spoke to Orange CS yesterday about the free £5 of international calls. The guy there said that it wasn't actually £5 free. What happens is that when you reply to the text (which should only have been send to customers who had used less than £5.61 of international calls in the last year, so he said) you sill be a charged a fee :!: and then this will give a 20% discount on international calls to selected countries only (he said only in Europe :!: ) worth upon £5 in disocunts, so it's not actually free calls. the guy from Orange Cs actually thesaid the text Wasn't clear about thisand that it sounds like a bit of a scam :!: :!: I don't know if anyone has heard anyhting different from Orange CS but I thought it was important that people found this out so they don't start calling abroad thinking it'd free if it's not. He sad that if anyone had signed up to thinking that it was purely free calls they could ring Orange and say they replied to the text in error and would be refunded and taken off the offer. Anyone heard anything differnet from Ornage CS (as they usually ahve at least a few differnet replies...)
