Infrared REceive and the MPx200 (IR)

I can't seem to get my MPx200 to receive items beamed from anpother phone. Acutally, I can't beam things out either.

It will identify the recipient, but never actually does anything but set the status to "pend"

Has anyone else seen this?

I had some problems at first with this too, when trying to beam contacts to my gfriends Sony Ericsson T610.

After multiple attempts I finally got it. When the status screen pops up that says pending, you should able to highlight the text to force the phone to beam the contact.

Another thing to do is be sure that the phone is not to close to the other phones infrared port. THe phones should be at least 1 1/2 inches or more. Also be sure the phone you are trying to communicate is properly set up.

Obviously your mpx should have it's infrared port turned on too.
