Guest dom Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Hi all, Just got an MPx200 yesterday, and have been trying to get windows media player 9 (on WinXP Pro) to 'see' it as a portable device. Is this possible? I feel it should be, but cant get media player to recognise the device. Does the phone have to be plugged into USB port? I'm actually sync'ing via IR (and I know that IR is slooooow, but was hoping to not need to carry yet more cables with me to work). Any advice would be appreciated. I guess the other alternative is just to copy the wma files directly to the phone via Explorer.
Guest ddmf Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 You have to use the USB connection. Once that's in use, you have 3 new devices in your media player list (Phone, Storage Card, IPSM)
Guest scott2eyes Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 I've got the same problem- except I'm using the USB interface, but Media Player is not detecting my phone. Is there some software/drivers I need to install? (The Outlook CD that came with the phone is still in it's cellophane wrapping, as I don't want to synchronise my phone with my work computers contacts and emails.)
Guest Shuflie Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Activesync. your phone won't be recognised without it.
