I have just been into the Orange Shop in Derby, Spoke to a bod who confirms my E200 is now buzzing (I could hardly hear it), He called Orange and tells me they are now replacing them direct from Orange as most of he phones are faulty. My new one is coming tomorrow night,

Couldnt find a topic to add this onto and thought it would be better as a new one so you can all call Orange, You have to have all boxes, packaging etc as its a full replacement.

I called OCS & told them it was buzzing & was told that as it was within the 28 days I had to take it back to the Orange shop where I got it!

I didnt call Orange myself, so you may need to take the phone to the shop to get them to do the usual "diagnostic check" before they will replace it.

Well... they changes it & it still buzzes!

I was told that they would try to get another from a different batch for next Saturday.

Russell, did the store change it or arrange for Orange to courier you out another one, I was told that all stores have faulty ones

Oh dear oh dear,

TNT brought my replacement round early (Nice man asked if he could come earlier which suits me).

This one - Even worse than the original one I had, also cuts the voice half mid call.

Have now been back to the Orange shop and another one to be couriered round tomorrow night 6-10

THE SAGA BEGINS......

I feel a few visits to the Orange Shop coming......

UPDATE :- Well I waited in last night and no-one came to exchange the phone. I called Orange to find out why and no explanation was given, however "WHAT THEY COUD DO FOR ME" was arrange another appointment for tonight, funny thing was, they still managed to advise me that they charge £13 if I am not there to accept it, however could not answer the question "Do I charge you £13 if you do not turn up".

So we'll have to wait and see......

I got sick of waiting in for deliveries that never came....

I found the best resolution was to ask Orange CS for the reference no. with the courier firm so that I could check the status of the delivery myself.

Obviously they won't give the ref. no. to you straight away because they gotta wait for the phone to be dispatched and the notes on your account to be updated with the courier ref. no.

Ring back the next morning or summet

Well Phone number 3 arrived at 6.00pm promptly, Driver already recognises me now.... Waited whilst I tested the phone

Reult:- Not as bad as the 2nd Phone but worse than the first one, I had to accept the phone or pay for a refusal, ANyway I accepted the phone and am onto Orange as we speak (well as I type).....

I've had my e200 replaced because of the buzzing and the replacement is just the same.

Should i have it replaced again?

I'm tempted to just give up and live with it.

Phone Number 4 on its way tomorrow between 9 and 1

Surely someone must have a working phone out there in E200 land.... Ah well let's see what tomorrow brings

PHone Number 4 here,

Still faulty

Called Orange straight away who have offered to replace the phone for a "different model" THis is not what I want, I want a working E200 thats all.......

OCS stated they dont see the point in me keep ringing them for a replacement when I know it's more than likely I'm not going to get a working modael. to which I added, If Orange dont recall the phone and admit theres a problem, then all I can do is report the fact I have a faulty phone and get it replaced. To be offered a V200 is more than a joke when I paid £150 for an upgrade to an E200 (From a brilliantly working SPV).

Ah well another replacement has been organised, Just waitin for OCS to call me back, She also adds that Orange have not been informed by any retailer that they have had any faulty E200s back, I know for a fact that my retailer has called them to tell them....

Is anyone else on this forum having their phone replaced by OCS... be warned after 4 replacements they will offer you another phone, either a 7250i, Samsung V200 or Motorola MPX Smartphone, Im sticking with my daily SPV...

If I were you, and this is what I am doing, is get OCS to agree to replace your phone in say a months time once they have found out which phones are faulty and which ones are not.

Saves you having to keep getting it changed every two minutes.

Yeah I asked them that last night, trouble is what they say and what they do are 2 different things, I asked this last night and although they said this is possible what you have to remember is that they still are not admitting they have faulty phones, so you keep a faulty phone for a month and they will ask the question " why didnt you report it when you had the phone ",

When I was told about the problems with the phone, I was also advised if you wait the month or so, Orange will agreee to send the phone for repair but not replace it, therefore you will be without a phone while it is being repaired.......

I reported my Buzzing issue again on 11 Dec. This is my 3rd handset all of them Buzzing. O Customer Support had to refer it to O Tech Support. Got a call back from O Customer Support on 15 Dec. I have had to send my E200 Recorded Delivery back to O with a description of the fault as of course there are no known faults with the SPV E200.

I have no replacement and I have to wait for them to deal with it (wouldn't give me a timescale). I have sold my original SPV, so I'm currently phoneless and on a contract (luckily not a high tariff).

My e200 buzzed when I first got it but it seems that the problem has got less and less the more I have used it. It seems like buzzes a lot less now than it did three weeks ago - or maybe I've just got used to it!

I've had my e200 about a month now. I noticed the buzz straight away when I phoned 150 to activate it. Immediately I thought there was a fault with the phone, so I started phoning my mates just to hear their voice (I'm not gay or out.!.!.). Most of the calls buzzed, although some not so bad as others.

The next day I phoned my wife on my lunch break - no buzz at all. So I phoned a few other women I know (don't tell my wife) as I suspected this might be something to do with the tone of the voice. Most of these calls had no buzz either.

My theory is the deeper the voice the worse the buzz.

I've read through the various threads on this issue, its VERY clear this is an issue across the board with this phone. I've decided not to ask Orange for a replacement, I see from everyone else's comments I'll only end up with the problem again - perhaps even worse.

You do get used to the buzz after a while, so I'll stick with it. I like the phone too much.

I still need to say, however:

To the people at Orange -- admit there is a fault and do something about it!!!!!!!
