hi there anyone got any good movie sites that you can download free moives from on the net???

about converting video???? i tried to convert an mpeg file using the software suggested however it wont convert the mpeg??? y is this??? and wot does this converting do or mean?

converting= making file better to play on SPV - faster, smoother and smaller.. It would use different settings beacause the screen is small and quality does not need to be brilliant, so it is possible to take some detail out of the file and reduce screensize to that of SPV. MPEGs should convert fine as far as I know.

I used WM Encoder 9, so found it a bit difficult to set up using that guide.. Eventually got it sorted... Try looking on yahoo for video compression/converting, see divx.com - this should explain how compression works in general, but it does not work in this case (WME does not support divx format)

Download movie trailers or funny clips

Grab a copy of flask mpeg to convert your clip to an avi

(change settings down eg video size)

Grab a copy of avi squash (experiment with the settings)

roughly go for 28k/10fps/keyframe every 2/ 176x136 size

You will now have a .wmv file to copy to your phone

reduces 90MB AVI to approx 1.5 mb !!!
