Guest mutleyboy Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I dont know if anyone has had this problem occurring, but i can notice a small round mark near the botton of the motorola screen, it lines up with the rocker switch and action key when the flip is closed. Surely this is a design flaw and it shouldnt be touching the screen at all
Guest alphaflux Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I've certainly not noticed this on my phone, at least not yet! From the side profile of the phone there does appear to be a small (very small) amount of clearance, and as the phone is closed I have not noticed that the keys are being depressed. Maybe the rubber stops on your phone are positioned incorrectly ?
Guest mutleyboy Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 none of the keys are depressed. I can see the small gap when flip is closed apart from where the rocker switch/action key is. If you look side on at the keypad you can see that this section is ever so slightly proud of the rest of the keypad. And my rubber stops are in the correct position.
Guest MungoJ Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Yes, I have the mark. Definately a design fault. I hope to buy a leather pouch shortly which should cure this <or at least prevent any REAL damage being done>.
Guest alphaflux Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Hmm, I am now able to see these marks too. Nothing serious, just a faint ring above where the rocker switch is. Definate design fault as you say. I intend to keep this phone for quite some time, so hopefully it won't get too much worse. Has anyone actually found a decent pouch for the MPx yet ?
Guest Shuflie Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 There are a couple of possibilities here. I've ordered the krusell one but it isn't due in stock until the 18th or 19th of December. Krusell also do an upright pouch that you have to lift the phone out of to use, Motorola also do these too.
Guest getwired Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 I also found some screen protectors for the MPx200 on ebay. Don't know if this link will work, but you can try it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=20351 If the link does not work, try searching for "3 Screen Protector Motorola MPX200" on the eBay website.
