Guest scottt Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Well thats what its says on the sign next to it in the Orange shop (Glasgow) Told the sales man I had a s.p.v and that I thought the mpx ran the same o/s and was told "it was not the same o/s but the new one the mxp runs" !! Told him I thought the e200 was the only phone with 2003 "no the mxp is the same o/s" Do they have a stock of mxp's smugled in the black market ? Does the sales man not know his arse from his elbow  ? Was on a lunch break but going in over the weekend to get one want to see his face when he boots it up and I show him its the same o/s system as mine. I have been in 2 minds mxp or e200 ? I have chosen to go for the mxp as my mum wants my sim (6 months left) but the best bit is she don't want my s.p.v but my Samsung t100 so I will be able to upgrade again in 6 months as I am going to give her the new sim. I know I am not getting a camera (can still use s.p.v if I need it as I will still be using s.p.v with works sim) and bluetooth , but never had bluetooth and feel I can do without it. The real draw of the mxp is the fact it's a flip phone and the screen won't get scratched as much. Does the e200 still have the dust getting under the screen problem as the s.p.v ? This way in 6 months I will have had a good shot of both and it will make it eaiser for me to choose between the mxp220 and a e200 (I hope !!) Does any body know anything about this phone (MyOrigo's next gen Smartphone ) It has some very nice tricks http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=547 And on my last note I can't wait till my kids have to show me how to work the Smartphones of the future

Guest scottt Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 took with my smartphone and I only got a 16mb sd card with caller id , lemonade game, tennis demo and slurps demo, not the m.o.s one thats in the advertorange shop.jpg
Guest morpheus2702 Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 The accuracy of information about the MPx200 and the E200 has always left a lot to be desired. I've read loads of reviews of the MPx200 saying it runs a 200MHz processor, that it has WM2003. I can only guess that its the PR people getting the wrong info 3 months beforehand - the MPx200 was rumoured to be running WM2003 originally, but Moto opted to go for a more stable OS at the last moment.
Guest nCoder Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 The Orange MPx manual states it is WM2003 in places  I guess it must have been a late decision to switch.
