Guest hahi hohu Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Hi, I've been using SE T68i and SE P800 for many years and now considering to switch to Smarphone or Pocket PC Phones. Before doing that I would like to know whether the MS based phones are programmed (or have 3rd party program) to do the following: 1. Set up GROUP of contacts. This is very useful if you want to send e-mail, SMS or MMS to a certain group of contacts. 2. To be able to accept only callers listed in the ACCEPTED CALLERS LIST which can be a list of names in CONTACTS or a list of GROUPS. This is very useful for me because lots of folks want to call me, but I only want to take calls from the list of accepted callers. Other callers will immediately hear BUSY TONE. I understand that SYMBIAN has a program by the name of BLACKLIST to do all the above, which can be used for Nokia 3650 and the new 6600. Apology for this dumb question, I'm a new user of this group
Guest Preacher Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 The SPV allows you to group callers into contact groups; however, I have not yet worked out how one can divert identified callers whilst remaining able to receive calls from others. I am however in need of such an application and am sure someone on this site will remedy this need!!
Guest fraser Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 That is useful. The contact groups you refer to are "categories", and are a central part to Outlook, have been for years. Nothing on the phone uses them, other than the view-filter at the moment. All Outlook objects (contact, appointment, task etc) have a category field. Very useful for organisation.
Guest JonasZ Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I suggest that you use PHOTO CONTACTS to resolve your issue. You will have an option to automatically reject or block a caller.

I know that Identify can do this but as I'm using Photo Contacts 2, where's this option please? I really want it!
Guest Jasonkruys Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Sounds good, but I really want an app that will do just this, I dont want all the extra features those programs have, or the bloat
