what are some good places to get accessories. specificially, i am looking for the data cable so i can sync with my laptop.

Motorola did right and opted for a standard configuration cable. :lol: As such; any mini-USB cable will work perfectly and should be available from any good computer store.

You may already have one on other equipment that you could use ... many digital cameras, camcorders, backup devices etc use them.

I have been to the largest computer box-store in America, Frys Electronics (http://www.frys.com/) and they do not have such cable. (This store is really a treat for those who haven't been--a candyland of all-things-computer and more). The boneheads there recommend the Internet for such cable, although they were drooling over my MPX200 as they don't yet carry it.

Further, my friend has a "standard" USB mini-cable for another product, and although it is mini, the shape of the small end does not match up with the shape of my hole (that's dirty) on my phone. There is a slight difference, such that one does not fit the other. I don't know if this is an anomoly or what. Anyway, Fry's doesn't have the cable I seek, nor does RadioShack, and I hate CompUSSY (http://www.compusa.com/) of which we have a couple stores here.

Is there nowhere to buy this cable? I need another....

If you are having trouble getting this cable by name, ask for a Canon Camera cable (any of the Powershot or IXUS series cameras) - they might know it as that - certainly the not-so-bright bods at my local electrical box-shifter found one of those!

But yea, it's a standard USB-A to Mini-USB connector cable.. Good on you Motorola!

I didn't know I needed a five pin. I was looking at the 4 pins before, but I tried the 5 and it works.
