E200 advice please?

Hello all,

I got my SPVE200 through the mail this morning and it is charging as I type :lol:

I just wanted to know if there os anything I should know about it before I start using it?

Does anyone have any tips or tricks they can share with me?

My previous phone was the Original SPV, I skipped the E100 and went straight for the E200.

Seriously though give the Orange OTA method a go, it worked for me but others have had IMEI number problems.

hi,

i did the same as you and went from spv to e200. I just got my new phone yesterday too!

Here are a few things i have noticed:

1. The whole inbox thing has changed. Instead of having one inbox for all sms,mms and email, you now have seperate inboxes and you can have several email accounts. You will find that there is no email inbox. This is becaise you need to setup a new account first. (country to the orange manual...) you need to go into inbox, click 'menu' and select 'options'. Then select 'account setup' then click 'menu' again and select 'new'.

enter your name and email address and your e200 will try to connect to the account and retrieve your settings automatically. If it cant, it will guide you through entering the settings manually.

2. Your homescreen is totally different. the icons along the top give access to sub menus. takes a bit of getting used to but is actually very easy to use. If you dont like it, you can revert to the old spv screen style by choosing 'windows default' in the home screen setup.

brilliant - thanks - this was driving me mad! it's quite well hidden, but ultimately a great improvement on 2002.
