Hello again

I got my FREE (YES FREE) E200 via fones4free today after joining the talk 200 plan for £30/month.

Does anyone know how long fones4free require you to be on contract before they allow you to change talkplan?

I called ORANGE today and they said that they could do it immediately but I should check with fones4free as they may charge me for changing plans.

Does anyone have any inof on this?

Thanks

:D

Your best bet is to give fones4free a call as this could be costly if you get it wrong!

Hi ya mate.... u can change ur tariff straight away if u want (coz i work for orange mate...) da only reason why fones4free said that u ave 2 wait a few months would be coz they dnt want 2 loose their commision for the staff and margin for the staff... so u can change it 2 da lowest one if u want mate.... ciao

p.s. they CANT charge you at all!!!!!

Im very positive mate unless uve signed a contract saying that you cant change ur contract within a certain period (which i very much doubt) - also this mite sound stupid but on the CIF (contract) does it say anywhere that u cant change ur talkplan??? The only thing that it should say is " 14 day money back and new 12 month contract".....

woteva da sales person said 2 u i used 2 do da same because if a customer changes their talkplan within 3months the sales person looses their commision.. dats all.... but yer mate im 100% sure u wont be charged for anything.....

p.s. if u want 2 change ur talkplan then do not go 2 phones 4 free just call customer service on 150 and ask dem to change ur talkplan 2 woteva... (by da way im not sure if phones4free is a store or an internet place - but if its an internet place read da small print 2 c if it says u cant change ur talkplan).... i hope dat helps mate if not let us know... cheers!!!

Hello again,

I called Orange today and they said that if I changed call plans within the first 3 months, Fones4Free are likely to charge me £90.

This is disgusting. Can they do this?

I was also curious about getting the phone for free and changing down tarrifs... having seen your post I had a look at fones4free and came across the following in their t&c's:

2.7 Should your tariff change result in Eurofone UK Ltd ( T/A Fones4Free.com) incurring a loss you shall become liable for this loss and we will look to recoup our loss from your credit/debit card details that you may have provided to us at the time of sale. If we are not able to recoup our loss using your credit/debit card details we will consider this loss as a debt and will then transfer this matter to appropriate legal bodies for collection.

loophole closed!

Sorry I should have included point 2.6 also....

2.6 Price of a Cellular Phone is determined by the tariff chosen at the time of sale by you and you are required to remain on your chosen tariff for a period of 121 days from the date of your purchase.
