Guest rubberduck Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Hi, I've just got an SPV e200, and i've been browsing the Forum pages from coolsmartphones, but haven't found the answer. I'vve connected active sync, and checked to see how i can install sounds. However In the "mobile device, my smartphone"folder I haven't got the folder of IPSM.... Is it because i haven't got a SD storage card yet??? Or what am i doing wrong??
Guest zeta101 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 ipsm is the storage on the phone that you are allowed to use (ie the ram) its go nothing to do with SD/MMC cards. However they changed the name of the ipsm directory for the e200, i dont have one so im not 100% sure but i think its called "storage". As for SD cards and the like, they were called storage card on 2002, im not sure what they are called on 2003 (e200s now). Someone with an e200 will have to confirm this
Guest rubberduck Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Hejj.. I'VE JUST CHECKED WHAT U TOLD ME.. I've indeed got a map with the name "application data" and if i look in here, i have got a map with the name "sounds".. U were the first one who reacted on my message so maybe i'll still read some conformation messages from other people, however i'll try it out by copying files here...
Guest Brody Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Smartphone 2002 = IPSM Windows Mobile 2003 (ie. e200) = Storage
Guest PsychoDave Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 BTW You probably already realised this but you just have to create the Sounds folder yourself. HTH
Guest Brody Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 No need to create the folder on the e200, it already exists
Guest rubberduck Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Brody, I've got a question, U likely can help me.. Seeing your postreply, i guess you've also got a SPV 200. Well ive checked soo much forum questions, i've almost gonn bezerk, yet i haven't gain any progress.. To convert MP3's to wav files to listen as ringtone, i've used different measures such as the old winamp style and changing the outgoing option to w.a.v. or using the mp3 converter programm to wav. WHen i try to paste the file in the file sounds of application it won't work. (i also think the convertion isnt' going wright.) second... If i just wanna store Mp3 localy in the map "storage card" in the created folder my documents for e.g. i also can't paste it because it 's to little memory, however pasting one time in the map application data/sounds as mp3 is no problem.. (R u still following me?? OR ANYONE ELSE??) I've added U 2 my msn maybe you can help a fellow student out...) Greetzz..
Guest Brody Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 So thats who's was trying to add me! I use a program called dbPowerAmp to convert my MP3's to Wav, hunt for it on google, its easy to find and is VERY easy to use. As for your cut and paste problem, are you sure that the sum of all of the files doesn't exceed your maximum storage, whereas individual files will fit?
