Edit: Just figured out that sendsms doesn't work either, says it cant connect to smartphone. I just updated to the 1.6 danish rom, could that be why they wont work?
Guest NRoodyn Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Version 1.2 of ReadSMS is now released. Download it from www.Smartphone.Roodyn.com regards Dr. Neil
Guest MECX Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Cant get send SMS to work at all---just says failed to connect to device. Im on the new 1.6 update and unlocked my phone using the 'disable security patch'. im running the new version of activesync and it was running with the phone connected when running the program, :?
Guest NRoodyn Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 The new version should log issues in your application event log so I can better understand the difficulties that people are having and hopefully solve them. If you could email me the messages in your event log that would be really helpful. In the meantime I am focusing on issues with SendSMS on another Forum (entitled SendSMS). regards Dr. Neil www.Smartphone.Roodyn.com [email protected]
Guest scott_donald Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 using my mpx200 i cant get it working either both send and read....
Guest Animefan Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 none of the programs is working for me either. I also got the 1.6 Danish Upgrade with the "patch" on  But if the programs had worked you had been the winner I think
Guest LarsDK Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Is there anybody that has succeeded in getting these programs to work? I cant get either of them to work... :/ Get the following error: Failed to initialise device. Details: COM object with CLSID {CSPAM340-0B7B-4FB2-8290-92ADD6CE412B} is either not valid or not registered.
Guest NRoodyn Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Please read the FAQ to help you solve your issues: http://www.smartphone.roodyn.com/SendSMS/FAQ.aspx The most common issue appears to be: I get the message "FAILED TO INITIALISE YOUR SMARTPHONE DEVICE....", why? One reason for this is that your phone is not unlocked. In order to run SendSMS you need to make sure you Smartphone is application unlocked. The other reason this can occur is that the software components failed to register correctly during the install process. This can be fixed by: 1. Opening a command window 2. Go to the directory where you installed the software, by default this will be C:Program FilesDr. Neils Smartphone Utils 3. Type: Regsvr32 SmartSMS.dll regards Dr. Neil
