Guest clifhanger_uk Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Ive read that a few of you guys have the M3000 and its OK. I also see in the post about listing compatible headsets that dhood made it work.. When I select discoverable on the E200 and set the headset to pairing mode (hosd up vol and Call Control button for 2 secs) nothing happens. Isnt my phone supposed to say - enter a pin code or somthing. I did look for a post on this already - sorry if I missd it.
Guest MrMagoo Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 I don't have that headset, but i guess they are all pretty similar.... so... you shouldn't need to set your e200 "discoverable" , but rather try and "discover" the headset. try putting your headset into pairing mode (as you did before) then grab the e200 , go into settings...bluetooth then press "Menu" and select "1 Bonded Devices" then press "Menu" again and select "1 New" This will make the phone search for a device to pair with, and with any luck it will find your headset...
Guest clifhanger_uk Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Thanks MrMagoo, seems I was doing it wrong - your instructions worked. Although now I cant seem to connect to it.. I put in the code but the headset didnt beep as it said in the manual. My phone asked if I wanted to make this the "headset" profile so i said yes. Cant seem to connect to it tho :?:
Guest egghead101 Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 I have the m3000 and it is working great. I had problems bonding it at first. Then it wouldn't stay bonded after I switched off but I removed it and added it a couple of times and now it works everytime without any hassle... Have to be patient with it.....good battery life and comfortable....
Guest j_sincla Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Just got mine and set it up today - really excellent. Combined with the Seidio powered mount I use with my PDA I've got a complete cradle, charger and now voice kit which is totally handsfree. I guess I could even text on the move...
Guest clifhanger_uk Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Seems the damn thing was working all the time. I didnt realise I was connected because I didnt make or recieve a call. haha, muppet  I was expecting a icon or the profile to be set to Headset but its still on normal. Seems that the phone doesnt tell you that its in 'headset' mode atall, in fact Im not sure it is. The headset works fine but the phone is still in 'normal' mode. I tried selecting 'headset' but it just ignors the selection. Anyone know how to select headset mode with bluetooth?
Guest capt_janeway Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Should go into headset mode one you make/receive a call - mine did
Guest blewer Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Don't think you can yet. The phone doesn't seem to switch profiles. This is one thing that needs to be fixed as we could then listen to music via bluetooth  The phone will go into a headset mode but won't switch profiles! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest tay Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Just read the articles above and if you bond the device in this way the headset seems to work. However you can bond the device another way which seems to create the issue of loosing the bond when the headsets are turned off. DO NOT switch BT on the phone on and then click the pickup call on your device. The phone pops up and goes through all the usual bonding procedure. It even works but once you turn the headset off and back on again it stops working.
