Guest Isa Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 How can I permanently get rid of the "orange" entries that are in my contacts (177 voice media, orange operator, etc...) The phone is unlocked and I'm running an O2 sim in it, so I definitely won't need those numbers. I've tried deleting them from the contacts, but they reinstall themselves when you turn to phone on. Any help appreciated
Guest Bonzo Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 I don't think U can! As far as I can tell they are associated to the Orange Plus program and is refreshed from the ROM each time the phone is switched off/on... But I could well be wrong about this... and I'm sure someone else will know for sure
Guest alphaflux Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Well, I am pleased to report that it is possible to stop these entries from being re-created each time the phone is reset. Not only that, but I have worked out what the mystery application in the start-up folder is ! Just remove the newcont link from the /IPSM/Windows/Startup folder and these entries will cease to be re-created. Thanks for the inspiration Isa; that has been bugging me for ages. Alphaflux.
Guest Isa Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Thanks alphaflux, you truly are a smartphone god!
