Guest spiderman411 Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 How can I install new home screens on my mpx200 ????
Guest Deemon Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 First of all put the phone in the cradle and sync to the PC now go into my computer and open the mobile device icon. Browse to IPSMApplication DataHome copy in the xml and any related files. ------------------------------------------------ If its a .HME or CAB file you need to browse to IPSMWINDOWSSTART MENU and drag n drop the file file here. Sometimes the file doesnt show up in the startmenu, if it doesnt youll need to restart the phone( i recommend installing TaskManager as it will let you close down the explorer app and thus refresh the menu..much easier) When you see the file in the startmenu just click it and follow any instructions to install the homescreen. hope that helps..!

Guest marf Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 AFter copying the XML files, then what should you do??
Guest JoelRae Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 @marf ... just go to Programs>Settings>Home Screen and set "Home Screen Layout" to the xml file you've just copied, then "Colour scheme" and "Background image" to Default
Guest marf Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Does anyone know if its possible to even load homescreen files other than .hme files and make them work on the i600? I can not get the Reload 2:Ice Theme to work and I really like the design of it. I have tried installing it by putting the cab file into the start menu and then selecting that but it did not work. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Guest JoelRae Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Sometimes the file doesnt show up in the startmenu I find that the menu doesn't refresh until you open a folder on the program list and come back out... if you put the .cab into a folder ("Install" or something) on the homescreen, it'll always be there  Joel
