Unable to compose or send Texts after hard reset.

Can anyone help me?

I did a hard reset recently to get rid of some old crappy software that wouldnt un-install but since doing so, i've been unable to send any text messages, in fact i cant even open the composer to make them.

When I go into my inbox, then press the "new" button, the menu doesnt even appear to let me select what type of message i want to send. It's the same when i'm viewing a message and I press the "reply" button...nothing happens!

If anyone could offer any help with this, i'd be really REALLY grateful as it's driving me nuts. I'm having to phone people all the time now :lol:

when you hard reset, did you try to use the 'automatic' decertifier tool, as this has been known to cause a problem with text messaging.

Also what rom version are you using?

Possibly another hard reset may cure the problem...

Yeah I was using the auto decert tool.

As for the ROM, i'm not sure, it was one of the old SPV's not the newer models that i've got if that helps any.

Ok that worked...oh and if the ROM is the canary version, then mine is v0.97 if that's of any help to anyone.

Thanks for the advice Will, I had done a few hard resets before but each time i've used the de-cert tool so i'm a bit apprehensive about using it this time.

At least I can send texts, although i'm stuck with the boring old home screens and no decent software now :lol: Oh well, cant have it all I suppose.
