Does OCS know it arse from it's elbow

I have a joint 120 talk share package with my wife

Two weeks ago OCS wouldn't budge from £149 to upgrade me to an SPV E200

This morning phoned to upgrade my wifes phone as her's was causing problems. Certainly sir, T610 £29 or Mpx200 Free. My god that's good, howabout my phone to an SPV E200, Certainly sir £99. Ok I said I'll think about it. :lol:

2 hours later , can I go ahead with the upgrade. suddeny T610 £99 for my wife and SPV £149 for me. Gob smacked :)

25 minutes later after a lot of ranting a raving and lots of deniels from OCS, I asked OCS if they were calling me a lier, No sir, then you must be I said. :evil:

On hold for a further 10 minutes plus whilst got past from one person to another.

Finally got put on to disconnections (I didn't ask to be disconnected) and all of a sudden T610 Free (yes free) and SPV £79 :D

Please someone expalin their logic, if there is any

Here's what I think happened.

Your offer of the T610 at £29 and SPV at £99 was a mistake, or an offer that the OCS rep didn't have authority to make.

You got messed about and passed around whilst they wondered what to do, before deciding to pass you onto disconnections.

The people at disconnections have authority to offer special deals/incentives to retain customers, and in this case they did their job and you got a good deal.

They make it up - I swear - read all the threads - the only single policy seems to be if they dont shut up then give them a cheaper upgrade! Turn on the charm and wit and hope you get someone who doesnt give a s*** and then hopefully you'll get a free phone somewhere along the line :wink:

That is all too true!! I'm beginning to think that Orange is the best company ever!! You just need to phone them enough times that some idiot makes some completely stupid remarks to you, & then you can use that as a great excuse to harass them for free stuff - which they usually give you!! Oh yeah, that, & their chronic inability to provide proper support & updates, which allows all their customers to complain loads, & get more free stuff!! :twisted:
