Guest hotphil Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Does anyone know if it's possible to get the MPx200's external LCD to display track names (or other info) from Windows Media? This'd save me having to open up the phone every so often to find out what I'm listening to on the way to work (and hence save my battery a bit!). Do any of the other music players (Pocket Music etc) do this? P
Guest Shuflie Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 None that I know of, it might be possible but the phone is bery new so adding this functionality may take a while, that is if anyone decides to do it.
Guest [email protected] Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Would be cool if the jog-dial could double as skip and backskip.
Guest mike-oh Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 Would like this too! As well as a way of get the lcd backlight to stay on longer.
Guest lawsonium Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 Plugins for the LCD screen while listening to MP3's would be good, being able to alter the functionality of the Jog Dial would be even better. My olf Sony J70 used the Jog Dial for everything and it was very flexible. I find myself reaching for it on the MPx :)
Guest pisquee Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 so in effect what you are saying is that you would prefer to have a standard form factor phone instead of a flip?! :-)

I find myself reaching for it on the MPx  I agree having track names on the lcd would be brilliant, but I'd rather the jog dial stayed as volume ( or if we could pick what it does when the phone is closed?) Years ago i had a technics CD player with one of the first headphone remotes - a single button, one click would pause, a second click would unpause, and two rapid clicks would go to the next track. I'm asuming the silver button on the headset is intended for activating voice dialing, or answering calls, but I never use that, so if a very clever person somewhere could create an option for it to control media player... ... they'd be a very clever person! Guest Belgarath Krall Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 ...*thinks* you can obviously feed the lcd with the contact name...why not a track name, as for re-assigning the key you can do it with programs why not with functions?

Iain They would also have my eternal gratitude- as I listen to MP3/WMAs on my phone while on my bike, i find it very irritiating when a call/alarm/reminder goes off and not only can I not stop the noise (or take out the headphones, as I've got a helmet on), but when it finally finishes I can't start the music again. If only the hands-free kit actually left your hands free...
Guest lawsonium Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Not much useful comment on this is there. Lot's of people wishing for a solusion of some sort but where are these solutions to come from? Matt.
