Guest Sp3ctre Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 How long did it take for you guys to get your "read then delete" texts?... They guy said to leave phone for 2hours and then turn on... just did and nothing.. phone has got signal, but no GPRS and no texts :?
Guest Shuflie Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Depends on how busy Orange network is, if you are on an upgrade your old SIM should die before the new one becomes active. Mine took about two and a half hours before the switch took place. I had rang orange customer service about it and they said not to keep the MPX200 switched on all the time but to keep turning it on and off every 20mins or so. Be patient and it will come through eventually.
Guest Bonzo Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Think I got lucky.... it took about 10mins for mine... but I have known it on previous upgrades to take anything upto the time O tell U
Guest Sp3ctre Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 ok.. more questions for ya... does the phone need to be off all the time, or can you just "reboot" every hour or so to check if it's worked? could I just put my old SIM in the new phone?.. any side effects?
Guest webcash Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 You can put the old sim in i doubt there would be a problem but orange recken there are different sims newer ones obviously being more advanced,Whilst that may be true im not convinced that it would actually do any damage to your phone but as im sure you have the update now kind of immaterial lol Peter
