Guest Frankh Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I've just bought a SD card! but i don't know how te format it with my SPV E200 can some one help me?
Guest James Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 you can either use a pc card reader or use a program called task manager to format the card in the spv Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest v1nn1e Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 There is a file manager app that can do this, can't remember which one, maybe 'smart explorer'. If you have a card reader, stick the card in there and format like you would a normal drive. Otherwise, put the card in the phone, load up Windows Media player 9 on desktop computer, go to 'copy to CD or Device'. On the right pane, choose 'storage card' from the drop down list. above the pain are four icons, click the last one to format. Got it?
Guest benjytrainer Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 You shouldn't need to format it to work with the SPV ... There are two ways you can write to the SD card : 1) Pop your SPV in the docking station and then via Activesync or Explorer, open the "mobile device" drive that you will see - one of the folders in there is labelled "storage card" 2) Buy a laptop with SD port / use USB SD writer for PC - this is the better solution because you can then read/write to the card much quicker. As far as I am aware, SD cards that are being used as a general storage medium ( rather than as SD spec ) use FAT32, which is one of the default filesystems for most Windows O/Ss. benj
Guest Frankh Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 you can either use a pc card reader or use a program called http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?t=7065>Task Manager to format the card in the spv Posted from my SmartPhone! that's what they said at orange but i can't find the format sd only to clear the phone!
