Guest tal3152 Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 Looking for the application to unlock the MPX200 via the IMEI (remote Unlock). This application should be free to use for all users.
Guest dk1210 Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 is there any other way? cos i bought it today from orange and i cannot use it with another sim card from another network..
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 This application should be free to use for all users. If that was the case then how would the mobile operators make any money apart from hiking up the cost of the phone  SIM unlocking will happen, it's just going to be a matter of time before it's free.
Guest nate7358 Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 It's not an application that anybody has unless you work for motorola. The remote phone unlocking web sites pay Motorola for every IMEI unlock code. You might be able to find it, but I suspect not for a very long time.
Guest Du2ty Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Someone told me when the decert software is run on the handset it also removes the sim lock, or is someone telling me porkies?
Guest alphaflux Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Afraid someone has been telling pokies. The decert only allows the execution of unsigned software and does not provide SIM unlock functionality.

Guest equis Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I think there was a post here about unlocking the MPX with the SPV Canary program or something. I think you need something called a BootLoader, I cant find that program so I am just going to pay $20 to get it unlocked , maybe.

It has nothing to do with Motorola making any money. It has to do with the carrier not losing money on the handsets. And Motorola or Orange or AT&T or whoever doesn't get a penny when someone unlocks a phone. I can unlock most phones out there. I don't pay anyone any money if I decid to charge for it (which I never have). Unfortunately, I don't have the generator for the newer Motorolas... I will... eventually. Others have it so it's just a matter of time. Check out the Off Topic area for the prog I posted to unlock the new Nokias. Free Free Free. Others are charging 5 to 10 bucks to unlock them. -Mc
Guest JOEJOETHEJOEY Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Isn't it worth the extra $1.01 to unlock it with jeff hong who is a tried, tested and trusted unlocker?
Guest Du2ty Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 The Nokia unlockers have been free for a while now?
Guest gazzampx Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 lovely job just awaiting my code now, does this mean that i am able to load more software on my phone now?
Guest MPXtricky Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 Two types of 'unlock' exist. One lets you load uncertified software, the other releases the SIM restriction that ties you to a particular network. I believe you want the first one - if so, search this site for the ALPHAFLUX UNLOCK cab file. Copy it to your phone and run it from there.
Guest kristianmatthews Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 what is jeff hongs ebay id?
