Guest Sp3ctre Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I have my MPx200 runnig sweet now... didnt bother with caller ID software etc... but are there any of the Moto apps which eat resources, and if so which should I remove?
Guest Emad Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 Nah, just caller id, which eats your battery too..,
Guest Shuflie Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 Do you expect to be getting or sending many MMS messages? The supplied MMS software eats into the storagespace and slows down the inbox when it is opened (other reported that this only happens the first time you open the inbox after a reboot but in my opinion it was as never really as snappy as on the SPV). Unfortunately the only way to remove the MMS software is to hardreset the phone. If you do this then just add the supplied applicaitions back in as and when you find you really can't do without them. After my hard reset, the only applications I have installed to the IPSM are Binarys smartexplorer and SP taskmanger apps, leaves me with over 6 meg of IPSM storage to play with.
Guest flashflash Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 why cant u remove the mms software using activesync applic remover. Ive done that and everything seems alot quicker
Guest Shuflie Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I didn't try activesync to remove the software, was trying from the phone settings menu and it wouldn't let me. Needed to hardreset for other reasons anyway.
Guest lawsonium Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 I'm guessing an Alphaflux unlock eh Shuflie
Guest jim.mason Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 i have a UK Orange, that has been unlocked. used activesync add/remove to remove the mms software which it seems to do, however upon restarting, the software is there again!!!! anyone else found this? will now have to try the hard reset method, unless anyone knows another way.
