Guest krankie Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I've just used the delete all SMS messages option for the first time and have found a problem with it. I suspect that this new piece of code has not checked whether the messages it is deleting were read or unread. The result of this is the front screen is still showing 2 unread sms messages when there are in fact none. Has anyone else spotted this? More importantly can you get rid of the errnoneous count (without doing a hard reset) ?
Guest Will Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 do a search under 'phantom sms' there are 2 ways to do this, rename the file cemail.vol and reboot, (all messages lost). the other is to manually edit the database using dbview (from www.monolithix.org)
Guest krankie Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 Many thanks, Now sorted using the dbviewsp utility  Just a pity that the new delete all sms function appears to be almost useless
