Thanx guys. I appreciate your responses. Actually, netmonitor got lots of functions. Aside from determining what cellsite is serving you and the screen lights act. & deact. , it has the following functions:

1. received Signal Level indicator

2. displays number of over-all txt messages sent

3. phone locking on a particular serving cellsite

4. can determine the next serving cellsite to which you'll be hand-over

5. can determine whether you're quite far from that serving cs aside

from the signal bar indicator

6. can determine accumulated SMS failed attempts and hand-over attempts

7. displays battery temperature

8. displays Phone Transmit power

9. displays Recieved signal quality, . .

etc... More or less, it displays phone to cellsite transactions and vice versa. I guess we have some of these functions on some existing programs, but are not incorporated all in one. Maybe, Imeter is one of these programs.

Nokia has netmonitor symbian software for 7650 & 3650. Maybe we could imitate or come up such kind of program for SPV. I believe we've got some brilliant SPV software programmers out there. We'll appreciate your help on this.

The files for my Nokia 3650 were all .sis files ...

There's gotta be some documentation somewhere for how to read the Smartphone's radio status, ... this can't be that hard for a program for smeone to come up with for us!

then, it's really for a series 60 phone application...
