Guest Red_Viper Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 Do we have a SPV version for this guys :?:
Guest rodnav Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 @red viper, net monitor... is it a program to monitor internet usage? like a gprs counter? if it is. you can use the Imeter. it's a great program for monitoring your grps usage and even sms and voice calls. hope this helps welcome to modaco.
Guest BrAGoL Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 @Red_viper none so far... but like what rodnav said, there's the IMeter... it do not have all the features you want from NetMonitor like the cellsite that's serving you or the lights on/off features you want... i was actually longing to have taht the first time i got hold of my SAP...
Guest chibako Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 pare, Imeter lang katapat nun! one of the best apps for the SAP! welcome to modaco!
Guest darkmatter Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 @rodnav is that the only use of net monitor? i think there are some other functions which net monitor can do, not sure tho. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Red_Viper Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Thanx guys. I appreciate your responses. Actually, netmonitor got lots of functions. Aside from determining what cellsite is serving you and the screen lights act. & deact. , it has the following functions: 1. received Signal Level indicator 2. displays number of over-all txt messages sent 3. phone locking on a particular serving cellsite 4. can determine the next serving cellsite to which you'll be hand-over 5. can determine whether you're quite far from that serving cs aside from the signal bar indicator 6. can determine accumulated SMS failed attempts and hand-over attempts 7. displays battery temperature 8. displays Phone Transmit power 9. displays Recieved signal quality, . . etc... More or less, it displays phone to cellsite transactions and vice versa. I guess we have some of these functions on some existing programs, but are not incorporated all in one. Maybe, Imeter is one of these programs. Nokia has netmonitor symbian software for 7650 & 3650. Maybe we could imitate or come up such kind of program for SPV. I believe we've got some brilliant SPV software programmers out there. We'll appreciate your help on this.

Guest BrAGoL Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 @Red_viper i just gave example of the simple use of NetMonitor... i liked that NetMonitor features of Nokia... mind to ask about NetMonitor for series 60 phone, what's its file extension? is it a .jar installer?
Guest aristoBrat Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 The files for my Nokia 3650 were all .sis files ... There's gotta be some documentation somewhere for how to read the Smartphone's radio status, ... this can't be that hard for a program for smeone to come up with for us!
Guest BrAGoL Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 then, it's really for a series 60 phone application... you bet that... but who knows, maybe they've already started making one... :D
