Guest mhon Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 What does "pboot failed" mean? I was trying to unlock my SPV. It detected the bootloader in the SD Card and it was in the process of loading it when this message appeared. Now I can't do a hard reset? Any suggestions?
Guest Will Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 This means the loading of the bootloader went wrong, usually due to a corruption of the file on the bootloader, or an incompatible bootloader. Unfortuantely, if the charging/power light does not light up on the phone when you insert the charger.. the phone is pretty dead! and not easily fixable. Contact Orange, and they will refer you to hayes or you another repair center where the phone will need to be re-flashed. Personally i call this state of the phone 'paperweighted' - as this is about all it's good for at the moment!! Will
Guest mhon Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Sir, the phone is still working. i can still use it. it's just that i can't go to the canary screen or do a hard reset. thanks
Guest Will Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 wow you are a lucky person.. go buy a lottery ticket this instant!! Ok it sounds like bootloader is actuially working.. even tho it reported a fail...!!!!! amazing.. I would suggest you run either the 1.3.6 uk update or the 1.6.1 update (if it's a uk phone?) and this should place a bootloader on there.. good luck!
