The install gave an error after the handset rebooted and stuck on tri colour screen, said to retry the setup. The handset will not go any further than the Canary MV screen. I now seem unable to use the install as the PC can't connect to the handset (cos its on Canary screen?)! I have tried taking off battery/rebooted handset etc to no avail.... ARRRGGGH!! Help!

Guest nechbi Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 I was originally using a hub.. After much rebooting etc... I tried it without still to no avail... It just boots as far as the canary screen and stops. If I try to run the install the set-up sits there for a while and then gives a communication error. I also get USB Device not recognised.
Guest nechbi Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 UPDATE! After a call to Orange, they advised that ACTIVE SYNC was causing the problems! The ROM UPDATE was trying to open multiple sessions (noticed that 3 or 4 active sync icons were appearing in the system tray). Advised to remove ACTIVESYNC and resinstall... This did the trick - I am now up and running on 1.6 YEAH!!!!!
