Guest mvsmith07 Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Yeh, Task Manager! I had already bleedin' bought this as part of the IA Style Tools package, which also included File Manager and Space Maker and now they're including it free. The 1.6 update has Task Manager and the E200 has Task Manager and Space Maker.

Not even buffering :!: Is it just a coinsidence that the music started to go all wonky :?: And no, its not a dodfy mp3 because I had it before the update and played it countless times perfecty. Guest StoutMan Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 also when you choose a contact when sending messages all the telephone numbers come up for example, HOME,MOBILE,etc
Guest ferret Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 also when you choose a contact when sending messages all the telephone numbers come up for example, HOME,MOBILE,etc Can't understand why? How can you email/SMS a house number? Hmmmm :? Extra menu item in Contacts, Send SMS Boot up, nice picture of sun rise. Boot down (???) Nice picture of sun set. Aeroplane mode instead of Radio Off Sync and Delete all SMS in the Select Folder option in the Inbox.
Guest TANKERx Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 My sister's home number can have texts sent to it. This feature would help in such a situation.
Guest moo_ski_doo Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 The 1.6 update also lets you empty all your message folders - not just deleted items
Guest Pagemakers Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 So can you delete all inbox email in one go? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest azamsaghir Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 No not email. You can only delete all SMS in the folder. It is far quicker than SMS Tools if you have been using that prior to the update. Azam
Guest budda Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 I've successfully installed the 1.6 update but cannot see this SMS character counter mentioned. Am I looking in the wrong place(s) ?? Apart from that, the new update seems to have brought a new life to my aging SPV - cool! 8)
Guest rcperez Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Try deleting new messages using the delete all, an you'll get stuck with the number of new messages in your home screen. I can't reset it. I had 32 new messages, which i didn't read so just decided to erase them with one go. Ho and behold its all gone but in my homescreen it still says that i have 32 new messages. Any ideas on how to reset this?
Guest Coucou Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 You have to have someone's name in the To field. then the counter should appear in the top left corner. I think that the signal strength indicator is more reliable too. Seems to change more so it can't be getting stuck like it used to. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest MECX Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Does anyone know if the phone still vibrates when you get a text when your in a call??
Guest budda Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 I think that the signal strength indicator is more reliable too. Seems to change more so it can't be getting stuck like it used to. Posted from my SmartPhone! Yeah the signal strength does fluctuate much more now when sitting in my cradle. Is that a good or bad sign though....?
Guest kalhohan Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Hi, i would like to know if this rom is better than the qtek or not? ( speed, battery, softs etc...)
Guest Matt Kirby Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Another thing I have noticed- previously if you went to your inbox, read a text message and then pressed back it would flash up the inbox for a second then take you back to the homscreen- very annoying if you have a few messages to read! Now if you press back it takes you back to your inbox- allowing you to read the rest of your messages.
Guest ferret Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Try deleting new messages using the delete all, an you'll get stuck with the number of new messages in your http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?t=714>home screen. Sounds like a phantom SMS, and with the magic that is MoDaCo click on the word to learn how to fix it!
Guest kjk Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 and what's about using ringtone from your sd card. You can use ringtone from sd card if they are stored in my documents on sd card
Guest Taoski Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 My SPV now also turns on without me applying a special ninja death grip to the button! Anyone also get this now?
Guest MECX Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 My SPV now also turns on without me applying a special ninja death grip to the button! Anyone also get this now? yeh seems to be a bit better actually still needs a few presses tho.
Guest skanna Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 one small observation, when you go to change the backround image on >settings>homesceen>backround image the options can be stored on the sd card, like the ringtones. That is, any JPEG images stored on the root directory of the card will appear in the options. Before they had to be stored in the IPSM folder on the phone in the subdir Applications data>Home
Guest stevewright Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 These things have improved for me: - The deafening bong at the end of call has gone (I haven't ever touched the fix found somewhere in this forum) - When keypad is locked and someone calls, when they hang up, it DOES revert to the homescreen - When you get a second SMS when you haven't read the first, it now DOES make an alert noise
