internet connection problem while connected to SPV

Alright guys. I've been having problems connected to the internet through my PC and I've just realised that my SPV is the cause. Basically, whenever my phone is connected to my PC I dont seem to be able to browse the internet. And as soon as I unplug my phone it starts working again. This only seems to affect web pages as my computer stays connected to Kazáa while my phone is plugged in, and I can still download my email through Outlook. Has anyone encountered this problem? I phoned orange and they've never heard of this problem so they referred me onto you guys at MoDaCo. Can anyone help?

Hmm, are you using pass-through connection on your spv? What kind of connection do you have (dial-up etc)? Do you download e-mails onto your phone?

I guess what I'm getting at is if you've got a dial-up connection and your phone is using pass-through to continually check e-mails or something it may be using up your bandwidth

Its a broadband connection and I dont download my emails through my phone. I'm not really sure what a pass through connection is.

Pass-through connection is where you're phone connects to the internet through the cradle... check Programs>Settings>Data Connections>Internet Connection - if it's set to Automatic or Pass Through Connection, change it to Orange GPRS and see if that works (presuming none of the others are set to those - on mine, Internet connection and WAP connection are both Orange GPRS, the other 2 are None Available)

Dunno if that's the issue but worth a try :?

Had a look at that and my internet connection was set to Orange GPRS and my Wap connection was set to wap. have changed the wap connection to Orange GPRS but makes no difference.

On a slightly different note, I noticed that my post above has been edited to say "my computer stays connected to armadillo while my phone is plugged in". I definately know that I didn't write that, so either moderators are having a laugh (which I dont believe is true) or someone else is.

I've just gone back two pages, just to double check that I'm not going mad, and I definately didn't write the above post twice like it shows. Something is definately going wrong with this forum.
