Guest Du2ty Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Thinking about doing the hard reset on my mpx200, just to get shot of the MMS software that I have no intention of using and to free up some space in the hope it might run alittle faster (Very S L O W navigating around the menu's) My question is what else is wipped from the handset. Have done a search but couldnt find the answer to this question? Anyone please thankyou
Guest danhs Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 all the apps that come on the cd are deleted (photo album etc), also all the personalisation settings... not sure what else, the dodgy background pics are still there
Guest alphaflux Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 As long as you use activesync to replicate your calendar and contacts etc first, you won't loose these; as they will be replicated back to your phone when you re-sync after the hard reset. 8) What you will loose is the default Orange applications (IA Album, Task Manager, System Info, Space Maker and jMMS  ) as well as any applications and data you have created in those applications. What remains is the default build, which contains the Motorola smartphone build (including all sounds and pictures) and the orange customisations (such as the data connection configuration, home screen, orange logos, orange update, orange plus, favorites, contacts etc). The Orange security will also be back in place if you have unlocked your phone. NOTE: Anything you have put on the storage card (such as media files) will also remain. Its only the IPSM that gets formatted. Hope that helps ... Alphaflux.
Guest Du2ty Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 I see, sounds too much for me at present (bloody newbie's  ). Ill have to get to grips with the handset before I try the hard reset! Cheers all
