Guest f1 Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 any1 else had probs with them lately, just wondering if it's isolated or not. Not getting call backs etc. Also prob been covered loadsa times but....why do exsisting customers have to pay MORE for services and upgrades etc, new Custs, get most phones free ? Just a question really, not a dig or 'out.
Guest xmob Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 I know they've been REALLY busy recently due to the Christmas rush. Not a very good excuse still, they should have called in extra staff know that Christmas gets busy. From my (recent) personal experience, perseverance is the key. I wanted an E200 but the was no way I was paying £149.99 for one so I decided on the Motorola V500. Trouble is, that's been out of stock for two weeks. When I made my daily call this morning to check stock, I was informed that there will be no more V500s until the new year. I decided enough was enough and was going to port my number to another network. On speaking to disconnections (or retentions, depending on who answers the call) via 150, option 6, option 3, option 3 I got quite a shock. Without asking I was offered an E200 free of charge. Of course I accepted. Again, without asking, I was offered another free of charge E200 for my Talk Sharer. I pointed out that the sharer wasn't out of contract until February. "No problem, Mr Foster. I'll waive the £75 upgrade free." Cool! So I will now be getting TWO free E200s without really trying. So like I said, keep trying, and you'll eventually get a good deal.
Guest Chaser81 Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Just got off the phone with a very nice lady at Orange customer services where I was enquiring about the possibility of an early upgrade to the SPV M2000. I am 8 months into my contract and she said there would be a £75 upgrade fee plus £99.99 cost for the phone. I have Orange Premier though which means I can upgrade at no fee at 9 months. She said if I wait one more month, they would probably do the phone for me free as well!! Suits me, as the phone is out of stock with Orange anyways at the moment!
Guest Confucious Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I was wondering why anyone would want to upgrade to an E200 when I noticed that you've revived a thread that's a year old! All the talk of coming up to Christmas confused me. Thanks Chaser81.....
