Headset attachment.

I recently purchased the MPx200. Love this phone. Anyways, I was looking at the headset plugin on the phone and it looks like there are 2 connectors on the outside of the jack. Below is a picture of what I am talking about. Any ideas??

I looked at mine. It may just be the way it was eastiest to manufacture. But than again it almost looks like something could slip in there. ?

They just look like the pins that connect the upper contacts of the jack socket to the PCB. Most PCB mounted jack sockets look like that from a side profile.

Of course, I could be wrong ...
