backlight problem

hi there here is my story :lol:

i have a spv e100 uk 1.5 and its driving me mad...the problem is ,sometimes the backlight will not turn off,it just stays on untill the battery is flat,,say for example ive just finished making/recieving a call and i put the phone in my pocket or back on my belt clip the light is supposed to go out after a user definable time right :?: i have mine set to turn of after 10 seconds and usually it does but some times it just stays on.,,obviously this is a major problem as i never check the light after a call i just put the phone away and expect the light to turn off by itself..i have checked all the settings and they are all correct so is this yet another spv bug or a fault on my phone :?:

PS:this still occurs even after a hard reset, :!:

Have you triesd pressing the back button repeatedly to ensure you have no apps running in the back ground?

I have found that some apps cause this and some actually change the settings. The old version of Pocket MVP used to do this.
