Guest dmoney5 Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Well, Im really pissed at my phone right now. I got some midi ringtones and uploaded them up to the phone. Anyway, Half of them didnt even play and the ones that did play were horribly distorted. I dont know, But i thought the Mpx200 was capable of playing midi files as ringtones. I dont understand how a phone that plays mp3's perfectly can horribly distort what seems to be a pretty simple sequence. Anyway, Does anybody know how to edit the registry to have the phone play WMA's and how to possible get it to play midi's as ringtones.
Guest martin Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Smartphone 2002 only supports MIDI0 so I probably wouldn't bother  although it does support PCM coded WAV files as ringtones so that's what most people use. There is a silver lining (maybe) Smartphone 2003 has full MIDI support as well as having WAV and WMA files as ringtones. The question is whether the MPX200 will have an upgrade path to smartphone 2003.
