Guest ShawnJ Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Hey everyone! I'm new to this site, but I think it's great. I have one major question that doesn't seem to have been asked or answered in this forum: The MPx200 is such a classy looking phone, but it would be practically useless (beyond simple phone calls) if Mac users cannot sync appointments, to do items, and contacts. It's not on the list of Missing Sync for PocketPC supported devices so it worries me. Is there a workaround for the Microsoft Smartphone operating system for syncing to the Mac?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Welcome to the site  Mac users have never been able to use Activsync and so sync their phone to Mac.
Guest spone Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 There is one way to get around this but you have to "purchase" Virtual PC. This program is a windows emulator that will run which ever operating system you get. (There is virtual pc that runs windows XP, 2000,...) I have not tried it yet, but I assume it works. Check out www.apple.com and search for it.
Guest danhs Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 it is possible to sync a smartphone with a mac and it doesn't require £160 worth of virtual pc! There are two pieces of software that can at least partially do it, missing sync, and pocket mac, they cost about $40 I've only tried the trial version of pocket mac but it finds my MPx with out problems, missing sync's site says that its having trouble with the app locking on spv's so I guess it will work if your moto is device unlocked. There must be more mac users with MPx's if you have a cool looking phone you need a smart looking computer to use with it
