Guest Fonefanatik Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Ok here's the deal- A few months ago there was a review in What Mobile magazine of the E100 which suggested that the phone doesn't 'exite' and like the original SPV,there is lack of programs for it etc. Now,me loving my SPV..decided to write in to the mag and tell them otherwise, and that in my opinion that it was an under-rated phone :D and once unlocked users can chuck tonnes of useful apps and games onto it. Just last month What Mobile contacted me and informed me they were publishing this as their star letter, which I was chuffed with and I'd get sent some freebies  Then, just this morning I recieved a parcel..and inside was a brand spanking new E200 and a letter from a nice Orange executive stating that he'd read my praise of the SPV in the mag and had sent me the new E200 as a thankyou.as u could imagine I was over the moon at this! However my excitement turned to dismay as I powered the phone up and was presented with the bootloader  ..and thats all it does......doesn't boot up,nothing. I took it to to my local O shop, who were as surprised i'd recieved this as me.......but they're at a loss as to what to do about it.Seems they can't replace it as they have no idea how to handle this situation and after several phone calls the assistant was still unable to find any record of the phone. They're gonna contact me as soon as they can sort it all out ,but knowing o,i'll be sitting with this dud phone for weeks!!! Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how I might be able to get it running......I know it's probably a bit of a long shot.....but I just wanna try and get it working while I've got it  Any help appreciated.
